Suné Stassen is passionate about getting involved in projects that are credible in the fields of sustainability, social design, design education - that will also increase skills development and innovation. Suné Stassen specializes in developing educational material at grassroots level, a level she strongly believes is the start of this design process that will feed into the development of a better equipped future workforce which will naturally develop human capital that is sustainable. This will enable Open Design Afrika to work towards an increased base of educated, responsive and responsible citizens and consumers, sustainable lifestyles and environments, grow intellectual property for SA and Afrika and build a stronger economy. All in all, it is about empowering the youth to become the entrepreneurs and innovators of tomorrow that will eventually be responsible to produce products, systems and environments that are more sustainable and that can impact and be life improving to most and not only to a selected few.

Suné Stassen's specialties: Connecting the Dots! Working on building a more prosperous ecosystem and value chain for Afrika using education at kindergarten as the starting point. An ecosystem where people from all walks of life are recognized as equal players that has value to add, experiences and knowledge to share and equal opportunities to fully participate and learn.
